Sammie

Hello, my name is Asya and I am addicted to Quizno's Sammies. My passion for the flat bread crack called a Sammie started about a month ago. At first I would only eat one once a week but soon it became twice a week. This week I am spinning out of control. I have visited the Simi Valley Quizno's 4 times this week. In fact, yesterday I had a Sammie for lunch and another one for dinner. I was too embarrassed to visit the Simi Valley Quizno's twice in a day so I went to the one in Camarillo. In the beginning I was all about the Italiano Sammie but now I have branched out to the 200 calorie Black Angus Sammie. Soon I will be stealing money from Rich to buy more ... heehee!

My last post was about friends and how they come and go from your life. Some are there for your entire life, some take a break from you but eventually come back and it is as though you were never apart. Then there is the friend that is really no longer a friend but you can watch them on TV and laugh. I don't want to name names but an old junior high friend of mine is currently rocking Bret Michaels world on Rock of Love 2. I can still remember the time she came to a sleepover at my house and practically peed her pants when we played "Bloody Mary" in the bathroom. Hmmm, maybe Bret would like to know that piece of information!

Sweet Day

This morning I found the sweetest little Valentine from the sweetest little boy on our door step. The Valentine came with candy hearts and chocolate chip cookies. Sorry, no pictures of those; they are in my belly ... yummy!

Recently a friend from way back in the day found me on MySpace. When I say way back in the day I am talking about my Utah years 1975 - 1985. Dyana and I both lived on Poppy Lane in Sandy and would play together all the time. After my Mom and I moved to Cali I would stay with my Grandma during the summer and I would play with Dyana whenever I could. Well now Dyana is back in my life and I am happy to call her a friend again. Some people really make footprints in your life and she is definitely one of those people. She is happily married now and all grown-up. Today she sent me a pic from back in the day. I think my two front teeth were on my Christmas wish list that year. Brace yourselves ...

Time Flew

Wow, it has been over a month since I last posted. My apologies. First and foremost thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes I received. You know who all of you are and thanks to you my birthday was happy. Speaking of happy, I am happy to say I found a new job a month ago. I LOVE my new job. I work at G.W. Little, click the link and you will see why I love where I work. Mojo is one styling little dog now.

As everyone knows we have had some trouble with fires as of late. Trouble is probably an understatement so my apologies. We were lucky in that our area was safe from the fires. The fires were to the north and the south and the east of us. However, our air was polluted, we had trouble breathing and woke up each morning feeling as though we had sucked on a campfire log. The sky rained ash upon us and most days the sun was orange. Our home is only 75 feet from the Santa Monica Mountains so of course we were nervous but luckily we were spared. The conditions here have improved and today we actually have rain. Yes, rain in Southern California. Milli Vanilli were wrong, it does rain in Southern California ... heehee!
